Eliud Kipchoge is a long distance athlete who has taken the world of Olympics to another level for several years. He was born and raised in the highlands of Nandi county .
His major achievement was the INEOS 2018 challenge which he used to prove that no human is limited by running a distance of 42 kilometres in less than 2 hours .This was popularly known as INEOS 1:59 challenge which was sponsored by an Austrian tycoon in Vienna .
Eliud Kipchoge reportedly founded a charity organization under his name as a way of paying back to the community. The foundation aims at helping needy children and championing for environmental protection.
Consequently, Kipchoge allegedly auctioned his racing attire in September this year with an aim of raising funds for the foundation. His racing vest alone which he used in Austria to break the world record becomes world's most expensive one . It was auctioned at 242471.
Other items which he auctioned include 2018-BIB number signed after the BMW Berlin marathon , a pair of Nike racing shoes, running watch with Kenyan flag ,world record book ,2018 running book team and two water bottles.
The items were sold at 140897, 42393, 48673, 40988,18572 and 35864 Kenyans shillings respectively.
