This year's African cup of nations tournament in Cameroon is already headed for the round of sixteen. In my opinion as at this stage of the competition, the Nigerian national team are the favorites to win this year's cup and here is why.Reason number one is because of their deadly attack made of Kelechi Ihenacho and Chikuweze. The strikers have already scored a combined three goals out of the four goals Nigeria has scored so far. Thanks to them,Nigeria are on top of their group with six points and already through to the round of sixteen.Second reason Nigeria are again favorites is because of their solid defence and midfield. They were able to stop the likes of Mohammed Salah from scoring in their first encounter. Thanks to the midfield and the defence,Nigeria have not conceded a single goal this tournament. If they can keep up with this impressive performance to the knockout stages then no one will stop them from lifting this year's cup.
