Barely hours after announcing that Egyptian midfielder Mohammed Elneny had signed a contract extension, the gunners are set to confirm their striking sensation has agreed to a new contract.
With Alexander Lacazette set to leave the Emirates-based giants upon the expiry of his Arsenal tenure, the gunners are set to announce that England U-21 international Eddie Nketiah has penned a new deal.
As reported by Athletic correspondent David Ornstein, Eddie Nketiah has agreed to a five-year deal at the club and the confirmation by the Mikel Arteta-led side is now imminent.
Nketiah is believed to have been convinced to stay at the club after an extended run of games for the first team who narrowly missed out on top four qualification to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.
Westham and Crystal Palace were reported to be among teams that were keeping tabs on the Hale End academy graduate but the London duo will have to look elsewhere for a striker to lead their line next season.
