Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata will miss the midweek Champions League fixture due to injury. He said that it was unfortunate that he had to lose both players in the same fixture but he will try and reorganize his team so that he maintains the balance in the squad.
Moise Keane is expected to start in the fixture since he is the only striker in the squad apart from the two who are injured. The likes of Aaron Ramsey and Arthur may also make appearances in the game to provide a more attacking taste to the Juventus side. Chelsea on the other hand will be without Reece James who is currently recovering from a twisted ankle. However, all the players are available and fit.
Andreas Christensen is slowly becoming an indispensable member of the Chelsea squad and plans to sign Kounde to be Zouma’s successor may be thrown out the window if the Danish defender keeps up his good record. Against Manchester City, he was the golden wall in the defense, far better than Antonio Rudiger who was expected to be steel armor in the defense.
His new contract seems to be coming out well as it was reported that final details in the deal were close to being agreed on. At the young age of 24, Christensen is going to become one of the most paid defenders in the Premier League but he fully deserves it if his performances are anything to go by. Some fans have even said that he possesses the traits of a captain and have accordingly said that he deserves to be given the armband once Cesar Azpilicueta parts ways with the club.
Has Chelsea become a one-man team? Is this really the way to go in order to whip the team forward to Premier League success? These two are just some of the questions that have been gnawing on the conscience of many Chelsea fans who think that depending on Lukaku has now become a hindrance to Chelsea’s dominance. So this brings me to the question, should the loss to ManCity be blamed on the overreliance on the Belgian striker?
