Cesar Azpilicueta's agent has claimed that the Spaniard star could leave Chelsea once his contract expires next summer. Speaking to one of the channels today morning the player's agent pointed out that Azpilicueta will be available for free from January 2022 and he could join the club he will want.
On 24 August 2012, Chelsea completed the signing of Azpilicueta from Marseille for an undisclosed fee, reported as £7 million. However Chelsea club director Marina Granovskaia is preparing to held a talk with the Spaniard over his contract extension so that he may stay long at Stamford Bridge beyond 2022.
The 31 year old defender has played 35 games this season and has contributed one goal and two assists in 35 appearances. Azpilicueta can play as a right back, center back and a right sided wing since the arrival of the German coach Thomas Tuchel. According to his agent, Atletico Madrid could be the player's next destination claiming that Diego Someone's is the greatest fan of the player.
