Mark otieno finally break silence saying“As we honour the due process ongoing, I want to categorically state and let it be on record that I have never been involved in doping of any kind,” “My integrity as an athlete and as an individual is paramount to me and I hold in great honour the opportunity I have been given to represent my country on this global stage, as I have done so many times in the past". This happened after he was reported to have used doping; violating Olympic rules.
Kenyan sprinter Mark Otieno has come out to strongly deny any claims of doping and therefore appeal for retests , hours after painfully missing out on a chance to qualify for the men’s 100m semi-finals in the Tokyo Olympics in Japan.
Team Kenya official team for Olympic has since lodged an appeal for one of their main man in the 100m as they suspect there might have possibly been contamination in mark Otieno’s sample. Amid disappointment and confusion on Otieno’s situation, the 28-year old issued a statement hours later to clear the air.
