Karim Benzema Resigned From International Team And Mohamed Salah Wins A Major Award.

Karim Benzema announced his retirement from international football a day after France lost to Argentina in the World Cup final.T

The French legend has written a statement on social media that appears to have retired from playing for his national team.

Benzema wrote: "I have made efforts and mistakes and it has brought me to where I am today and I am proud of it."

"I am writing my story and that story will end".

Benzema missed out on the World Cup despite being part of the World Cup squad.

But an injury prevented him from participating in the World Cup as the coach refused to return to the team after recovering from the injury.

Mohamed Salah has won the award for Liverpool's best player in 2022 as voted by the fans, beating three other players.

The Egyptian star has won the fans' star of the year award for the third year in a row and in the years 2020 and 2021 he won the same.

Liverpool fans vote for their best player every year, and the 30-year-old received 76% of the vote.

Salah, who has scored 22 goals in all competitions in 2022 since January, has helped Liverpool win the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, while they also reached the final of the Champions League and Real Madrid took the cup. Also, they finished second in the Premier League.

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker took second place with 15% of the votes, which is much lower than the number of votes received by Mohamed Salah, while the third place was narrowed by Luis Diaz who received 6% of the votes.

Diaz, who has been sidelined for four months due to an injury, entered the list of contenders even though he joined the team in January this year and immediately fit in well. The fourth place went to Thiago Alcantara who only got 3% of the votes.
