Inside Victor Wanyama's Multimillion World Class Academy In Busia

Victor Wanyama, a former captain of the Harambee Stars, is most likely the most accomplished player in Kenya right now. He is presently the representative of the Montréal Impact, a Major League Soccer team primarily composed of Canadian players in America (MLS). Wanyama has also appeared in English Premier League games for Tottenham Hotspurs, Southampton, and Germinal Beerschot.

The MLS Players Association reported that Wanyama had a guaranteed monthly pay of Ksh22 million and a guaranteed annual income with bonuses of Ksh343 million.

The Victor Wanyama Foundation, which will carry on Wanyama's legacy, has finally received the millions that he accumulated throughout the course of his long career.

Sports, education, health care, and wildlife conservation are the foundation's four top priority areas. The Victor Wanyama Academy in Busia is a sizable project that the organization is currently working on. The project will be built on a 22-acre county-owned piece of property.

Offices and a reception room will be located in the institution's administration block. Also, the concept calls for employing modern fields for both league games and practice sessions.

The idea also features a teachers' quarters where the handlers of the athletes, coaches, and trainers would reside. Football players are also required to live in specialized quarters at the large complex.

The structure is designed to enable the athletes to pursue both a formal education and professional football careers.

They now have the opportunity to thanks to this project, which has also provided local kids in Busia with employment prospects.
