The fastest man in Kenya Ferdinand Omanyala has today again made Kenya proud during the Kip Keino Classic 2022 after emerging the winner. The athlete has clocked 9.98 seconds ahead of Fred Kerley of The United States of America. The event today started at 12.35 noon with the Mens javelin throw and ended at 6.00 pm with the men's 100 meters. The event was graced with many athletes across the globe. Those who participated in the 100 meters event include : Mike Rodgers, Isiah Young, Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley all from the United States of America. Other 100 meters participants were Emmanuel Mtadi of Liberia and Hendricho Bruintjess of The Republic of South Africa. Despite the tough competition that was expected today Omanyala put his best foot forward and ran with the determination of a lion chasing after its prey to emerge the winner.

The Kip Keino Classic is an event that was created to showcase Kenya's best athletes to an international audience. It is also an event to celebrate the fastest 3000 meter record holder Kipchoge Keino .
