Marco Asensio has two alternatives this summer: extend his Real Madrid contract or be sold.

According to reports, Real Madrid is ready to extend Asensio's contract, which expires in 2023. They are not, however, prepared to satisfy Asensio's high wage expectations for his new contract. As a result of Real Madrid's position, Asensio could leave the European Champions.

If he is going to leave, Sport Witness claims Manchester United have strategically positioned themselves to sign him.
To sign Asensio, the Red Devils would only need to satisfy his €7 to €8 million annual pay demand and promise him plenty of playing time. In terms of compensation, Real Madrid will accept an offer of at least €40 million for the winger.

If United can entice Asensio away from Real Madrid, he will be a fantastic addition. Ten Hag is eager to succeed in his first Premier League season, and players like Asensio might help him achieve his goal. (Sport Witness)
