Premier League giants, Chelsea have finally announced the appointment of a new technical director following the departure of Peter Cech from the club few months ago with former RB Leipzig head of recruitment, Christopher Vivell now taking over the mantle at the Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Vivell. He joins immediately as the new technical director of Chelsea FC," reads top of the official statement from the West London club.
Vivell, 36 have had a vast experience in the recruitment department with his time at RB Salzburg as well as the Leipzig seeing him recommend some of the best players to the teams and hence, his move to the Stamford Bridge will no doubt be a massive boost to Graham Potter.

Meanwhile, the German international couldn't hide his joy on the appointment with him reiterating his desire to help the Blues make it to the top: "Chelsea are building the most exciting project in global football and I’m extremely proud to be joining the club."
