Opinion: 5 Best World Cup Jerseys Of All Times In Order(Images And The Years They Rocked Included)

The World Cup ladies and gentlemen is edging closer and closer. Football's biggest bonanza is peaking and it is only fair that I start feeding you with World Cup related news. In this article,I rank my best 5 World Cup kits of all time.

5 Argentina(1986)

The 1986 Argentina World Cup kit is always synonymous with Diego Maradona whose 5 goals including the most famous 'hand of God goal' propelled them to glory. Argentina's kit was light blue in color with white stripes.

4 Nigeria(2018)

Kudos to Nigeria! In as much as they rank fourth for me,their kit is the most recent on this list. You could safely say it is the best jersey in recent editions of the World Cup. It was voted the best kit for the 2018 World Cup edition. This jersey had green and white chevrons predominantly and then some black on the sleeves.

3 West Germany(1990)

At Italia 90', the Germans rocked in their predominantly green away kit. It also happens that their awesome kit brought good omen to the nation as they were the tournament winners after beating Argentina 1-0 in the final.

2 France(1998)

France 98' was a memorable World Cup for me. The French preparation as hosts was on point just like their home kit. Their shirt comprised of stripped collars against the predominant blue on the shirt. And then there were 4 stripes on the front, one in red and the other in white. On the field, the French made their fantastic jersey to count as they eventually won it after beating Brazil 3-0 in the final that was surrounded with pre-match controversies.

1 USA(1994)

It was quite hard for me to settle with the best World Cup kit of all time but I have ended up with the American one. After being awarded the rights to host football's biggest bonanza in 1994,the Americans made a statement with their away kit. By their standards at the time, the Americans did not disappoint as they made it through the group stages only to run into a mighty Brazilian side in the knock out stages and lost 1-0 on their independence day.
