The Blues were in action yesterday against Liverpool as they all looked forward to lift the FA Cup. This was the first FA cup final for Liverpool since 2006. A win for them would be one of the biggest achievements under Jurgen Klopp.
This was the second time these two faced each other in tge final after facing each other in the EFL where Liverpool won through penalties. In yesterday match, it was a game of two halves where both team looked strong enough to win the match by the end of the final whistle.
The Reds however faced a big blow after their key player Mohammed Salah was injured in the 30th minute something which made him to be brought off. The Blues almost opened the scoring in the 48th minute before Alonso's shot struck the post.
Robertson and Luiz Diaz also struck the post in the 83rd and 84th minute. The match ended with a goalless draw something which forced them to proceed to extra time. They all tried to score in the extra time but the match ended 0-0. This made them to proceed to penalty shootout.
However, Liverpool ended up winning after Mason Mount failed to score his last penalty. In that match, one of the Blues stars who was on top form is Christian Pulisic. The American forward was so impressive upfront where he gave Liverpool defenders no rest.
He created multiple chances upfront and had some few shots on target. Pulisic has been starting from the bench in most matches this season. Yesterday he was give a chances to start the match where he was so impressive. His speed and skills made him to easily unlock Liverpool solid defence.
This now means that Pulisic top performance in yesterday's match proved Tuchel wrong for benching him.
