Jesse Were is a Kenyan professional footballer. At some point back he played for Harambee Stars in many matches. He played a great role in Kenya's African Cup of Nations qualifiers in 2019 though he wasn't included in the final squad that featured in Cairo.
The sensational forward scored several goals for Tusker in the Kenyan Premier League before he moved to the Zambian Super League side Zesco United. For many years in Zambia, the lethal forward has proved to be unstoppable as he netted goals in most of the matches he has been involved
Yesterday, Jesse finished the season on a high note after he scored four goals as they thrashed Buildcon by seven goals to two. This helped him to finish as the top scorer.
In my view, Were has become superb everywhere he has played. He has the power, pace, and physique required in any league. He should be included in Harambee Stars' squad to partner with Michael Olunga.
