According to Italian Sky Sports journalist Angelo Mangiante, Arsenal and Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka is expected to join Italian side AS Roma on their pre-season training camp in Portugal next week as he is close to complete his switch to Jose Mourinho's side.
The former Manchester united and Chelsea manager has been a huge fan of the 28 year old and since his appointment as the new As Roma coach, he has been heavily linked with the star with some people claiming that he suits Mourinho's style of play.
Granit Xhaka is also reported to be keen with a move away from the Emirates stadium permanently and the Gunners are reported to be demanding a fee of more than £17 million to let their midfielder switch to Italy this summer.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star will be the second midfielder to leave Arsenal this summer after Frenchman Matteo Guendouzi completed his move to Marseille on a permanent deal.
Do you think it is a wise decision for Arsenal to let Granit Xhaka leave the club?
