Manchester United created multiple chances against Westham but Ole Gunnar Soleskjaer's men were unable to convert their chances.
With United missing their entire first eleven, the squad still looked good, with the likes of Jason Sancho, Anthony Martial and DonnyVan De Beek, given the chance to shine.
However, after Westham scored the first goal, United were unable to repeat their come back heroics like they did on Saturday, to beat Westham.
However, despite loosing some players were guilty of performing poorer than others while others were at their absolute best.
For instance, Manchester United's attackers were notoriously poor against Westham with only Jesse Lingard looking to be a threat during the first half.
United's number nine Anthony Martial was arguably the worst player on the pitch.
Indeed, Martial failed to record a shot on target during the game while also not being able to make simple runs which would have created chances and spaces for other players.
In fact, Mason Greenwood who was introduced in the 66th minute had more impact in one minute than Martial, during the entire game.
Greenwood was unlucky not to score one minute after his introduction after Van De Beek found him with a sublime pass.
Here are some reactions by fans to Martial's performance.
