Forget Ronaldo, This Manchester United Star Player Was Easily Their Best Player Last Night

The man for the big occassions Cristiano Ronaldo was once again the headline maker for Manchester United after stepping up when most needed to complete a remarkable turn around.

United were hosting Italian side Atalanta for the third match of their group F and Solskjaer had knew that another loss would be tough to recover from as far as knock-out qualifications are concerned.

However, Atalanta had read the script and took a commanding 2-0 lead at half time only for a powerful team talk to see United re-emerge looking dangerous to win the game thanks to Cristiano.

He may have scored the winner but credit should also be given to midfielder Fred who for once had an almost perfect game.

The Brazilian avoided his usual mistakes and was almost everywhere making sure that the Seria A side had no chance to quickly counter attack.

United fans had the following to say;

BeanToadt: Such a workhorse man well played. You was all over the pitch, especially in the last 5 of the 1st half and the full 2nd. Same again on weekend 😉

Bako Sneah: Ham impressed @Fred08oficial ; welcome back . Have never praise you in a game before but in this one tonight I didn’t only praise you but with a standing ovation when u were subbed out !🤜 kudos lads unto the next @LFC . Good luck and goodnight lad🙇

Utd_Afeez: Honestly ur performance today makes me uncomfortable to slander u........ Today's Fred is the Fred that should always turn up for man united..... U should have gotten a goal too and even a nice one that but no shit we go again keep it up👊.

Sherwood: Also worth noting that Man U are a much better side when Fred Rodrigues is in it.

Kmk: fred was outstanding tonight 👏deserves a lot of credit seeing as he been getting a lot of abuse @ManUtd
