Today, Harambee Stars overpowered their East Africa neighbours Tanzania alias Taifa Stars after beating them 2-1. The goals were scored by Kariobangi Sharks' Erick Kapaito after receiving an assist from Sofapaka's Lawrence Juma in the 21st minute of the match.
A couple of minutes before half time, in the 39th minute Azam's Ayubu Lyanga equalised for Taifa Stars making it 1-1 at half time.
In the 58th minute, Lawrence Juma provided another assist for super substitute Hassan Abdallah who plays for Bandari Stars as a a defender.
Yesterday, Kenya managed to beat South Sudan 1-0 with the sole goal coming from AFC Leopards' Elvis Rupia.
This is Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee's second friendly match a week before playing Egypt at home in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Harambee Stars will play Tanzania once again on 18th this match before meeting Egypt on 22nd this month. The friendly matches are aimed at strengthening and assessing the squad set to play against Egypt next week and Togo on 30th March.
