Goodnews As Kenyan Forward Abroad Scores A Fantastic Goal

Despite the two back to back losses to Mali over the international break, Harambee Stars fans have something to smile about as one of their top strikers who was not included in the national team squad scored a fantastic goal for his Zambian club.

Fresh from serving a suspension due to indiscipline issues alongside his Kenyan counterpart Ian Otieno, Jesse Were finally netted his first goal of the season in Zesco United's matchday 4 on Wednesday evening.

Zesco United ran 2-0 winners over Kabwe Warriors in a Zambian league match.Solomon Sakali gave Zesco United the lead in the 54th minute from a corner kick which was taken by Kevin Kampamba.Jesse confirmed by netting the second in the 73rd minute with an assist from Edward Lungu.

Ian Otieno missed the match as he is was injured while on international duty against Mali.Another kenyan who was involved in the match is Harrison Mwendwa who was introduced in the 62nd for Kabwe Warriors.
