Kinoru stadium is situated in Meru town and it was first commissioned for refurbishment in 2014 by the county government of Meru.Later in 2017, the national government took over the role to speed up works as it was earmarked to host the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) which Kenya later lost the hosting role to Morocco due to slow preparation process.
The stadium has stalled on different occasions through its renovation process but the latest report indicates that works are almost complete.The stadium has six changing rooms for players and match officials,a conference room,VIP section and a FIFA standard football pitch.
On top of that, it will support other games like basketball, tennis, netball, volleyball and indoor games like badminton and table tennis.The stadium has a capacity of 20000 people and Tusker FC have expressed their desire of having it as their home ground as it was initially.
