Kenyan striker Michael Olunga is the best striker in the Qatar premier league where he plays for Al Assad. He scores so many goals averaging a hat trick every game.We all thought that he was good and suggested that he should even head to the European leagues to prove himself. However after we witnessed the opening match of this year's world cup tournament between Qatar and Ecuador yesterday,we now know why he scores so many goals.Qatar was so poor that they did not manage a single s shot on target throughout the match.
Ecuador dominated all aspects of the game from shots on target, key passes made, successful dribbles completed, big chances created to duels won.Mind you Ecuador is the last ranked south American team at the world cup and Qatar are the reigning Asian champions. It just shows how poor they are.If this are the type of players Olunga plays against for a whole season then honestly he is just enjoying himself.Any striker would dominate in such a poor league.
