BREAKING: Chelsea's Jorginho Wins UEFA Men's Player of The Year

Chelsea's Jorginho is the recipient of this year's UEFA Men's Player of The Year Award after finishing ahead of his Blues' teammate Ng'olo Kante and Man City's midfield maestro De Bruyne.

The Italian midfielder was fated during the group stage draw of the UEFA Champions League which took place on Thursday night in Istanbul, Turkey. Jorginho won the 3 UEFA winners medal last season after collecting the EURO 2020, 2021 UCL and the 2021 UEFA Super Cup medals.

He was also on the list of the UEFA Midfielder of The Year Award which went to Ng'olo Kante.

Jorginho was very instrumental during the group stages all the way to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final itself. His heroics were acknowledged by many football fans, many backing him to win the 2021 Ballon D'or.

Another Chelsea player who was awarded in Istanbul was Senegalese goalie Eduord Mendy who won the goalkeeper of the year. Mendy beat Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois and Manchester City's Ederson Moraes.
