Harambee stars and Zambian based defender David Owino alias Calabar disclosed the funniest player he has ever played with in the national team for over 60 caps he has had for the team. Calabar spoke on an exclusive interview in the team's website claiming that Aboud Omar is the funniest player he has played with in the team. Calabar and Omar are among the most experienced players in the national team at the moment.
The 35 years old player says that his role in the team is to help young players understand what it means to feature for the national team. For him, it is not all about wearing the jersey but playing hearts out. Owino has had one of the best careers in Zambia where he has won every cup in the country. He opened doors in Zambia for other national team players such as Jesse Were and Ian Otieno (Zesco united).
Calabar says the team has all it takes to perform in any stage if everything goes well. The soft spoken defender will be remembered for his exploits in Calabar Nigeria where he earned the name. He helped Kenya to secure a historic draw against the mighty Nigerian side. We wish him all the best in Zambia.
