Arteta Waiting For The World Cup Group Stages To End In Order To Complete This Anticipated Swoop

What a time to be a Gunner; the Premier League is on a World Cup break, and your favourite club sits atop the table with 37 points, 5 points ahead of Manchester City after 14 PL match days.

Arsenal will be hoping to pick up where they left off after the World Cup break and be better. One way to sustain their brilliant run will be to strengthen their squad. Arteta is interested in bringing in a new midfielder. Sport Witness claims the Gunners already have the midfielder they want in their sights for the midfield position.

Arsenal want Palmeiras' Danilo to join them in the winter and have already decided to bid for him once the World Cup group stages are over. "Danilo’s staff told Nicola that the Gunners ‘continue monitoring’ the player’s staff and should place an official bid after the World Cup group stage," writes Sport Witness.

Arsenal has long admired the 21-year-old, and there were reports that they attempted to sign him in the summer but were unsuccessful. However, if his agents are expecting an offer from Arsenal, the transfer isn't far away.
