Defender Returns To Arsenal Training Ground

According to reports from Chris Wheatley, Arsenal and England central defender Rob Holding has today on Thursday returned to the training ground after being sidelined for few days due to injury.

Despite being involved in the training session, the star will not be available for selection this weekend on Saturday against Burnley, which will force Mikel Arteta to make use of the currently fit players to play in the defence.

Holding has played two Premier League matches this season, against Chelsea and Manchester City in which they lost both, and later missed the 1-0 win last weekend against struggling side, Norwich City.

The returning of the former Bolton star is a huge advantage to Arsenal squad, after Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka recovered from Covid 19 and joined his teammates in the training facility on Wednesday.

The Gunners will be traveling to Burnley as they are keen to register a second win in a row, but Rob Holding and Granit Xhaka could be sidelined from the traveling squad.
