Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland are considered the future of European football and they could be the players who will be winning trophies and Ballon d'Or in the future.
The two young players are very good in their ways with Mbappe being a goal scorer who can dribble and has an electrifying pace. Haaland, on the other hand, is a perfect goal scorer who in other words is called a goal machine. He has been scoring incredible goals at a young age and has broken several goal records already.
Mbappe has enjoyed great success for his club and country winning the world cup and several Ligue 1 titles. However, Haaland is yet to win any major trophy in his career having won the DFP Pokal with Borussia Dortmund last season.
Moreover, despite these two players being that good Manchester City 20-year-old Phil Foden managed to silence them in the Champions League last season proving he is one of the best in Europe. The English international was brilliant for the Citizen last season when they reached the Champions League has played a big part in that campaign.
Foden managed to face these two great talents in the knockout stages and made a great contribution in knocking them out of the competition. He scored two goals against Dortmund to knock out Haaland on a 4-2 aggregate in the quarter-final.
Foden then faced Mbappe in the semifinals and he didn't score but provided an assist in the 4-1 aggregate producing one of his best performances in Europe. Foden has enjoyed great success at Manchester City and he is likely to have a bigger future in the Premier League and he could even win. Ballon d'Or in the future.
