Rangnick Explains Bruno's Position After Switch In Formation

Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has come out clean to explain star player, Bruno Fernandes' position in his team as he opts to switch his formation at the club.

Initially, Rangnick introduced a 4-2-2-2 system, after taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, that was hard to pick at Old Trafford as many stars struggled to adapt. Portuguese international, Bruno Fernandes, who was arguably the best player in the squad, saw his form drop significantly causing panic among the fan base.

The manager has since opted for a 4-3-3 formation and clearly has unleashed Bruno's potential in midfield. The formation that was first introduced last weekend in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, has seen Bruno score 4 goals and assist 2 in the two games.

Rangnick has revealed that the system suits Bruno well as he gets the freedom of movement on the pitch. “I think most of the top teams in Europe and England play in a 4-3-3. I think for him it’s better than being pinned to a number ten position because he can then make himself available in different areas of the pitch.” Rangnick said.
