However, his life was full of downs and ups to an extent of almost quiting his Football Career. After being released by Chester city the keeper started earning his unemployment benefits in 2014. Almost to quiting his career in 2015, a golden opportunity raised in reims United in 2016 where he was signed and lucky enough the team was promoted to legue 1 in 2018 and the same year Mendy made his first debut for Senegal national team.
Then the goalkeeper was signed by Chelsea football club in 2020 where he managed to lift European champions league with Chelsea and the keeper is currently ranked to be a world class goalkeeper by FIFA.
