Manchester United board has split over two managerial candidates. United board are currently undergoing checks for who to become the next manager at Old Trafford. The board has however narrowed down the shortlist to four candidates. Mauricio Pochettino , Erik ten Hag, Julen Lopetegui and Luis Enrique. United see this managers as ideal candidates for the Job.
However Manchester United board has again narrowed down to best two Candidates. Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino who are currently holding managerial position at Ajax and PSG respectively. The board are yet to decide who to pick for the position.
Erik ten Hag who is currently at Ajax hasn't managed any premier league team in his career. Manchester United might be his first if appointed. However he has managed Ajax who have a good football history but Manchester United seems to have a bigger Budget compared to Ajax. His career is currently on an upward trajectory.
Mauricio Pochettino on the other hand was knocked out of UCL by Real Madrid despite early 2-0 lead. Mauricio has managed premier league teams on his side. He was impressive at Southampton where he developed several players and style of play of the team. He later managed Spurs where he brought entertaining football at Spurs. They rose to become title challengers reaching UCL final in 2019. He has failed to impress at PSG despite having the best players in his team. It seems his career is on a downward trajectory.
Manchester United will have a heavy task to decide who takes that position that is turning out to be challenging and decisive.
