People need to stop talking about what Arsenal can do & what they should not do. Their potential is clear, & that's great, we saw that in the opening 20 mins, but the rest of the game is not an uncommon theme. They have the quality/structure but must show it for 90 minutes.
The players are too passive out of possession and too aggressive in possession. It gives the opposition a chance because they can pin Arsenal back due to their lack of aggression when pressing but it also makes the game chaotic and transition based so they can't reliably press.
It's a combination of physical and mental issues. Ramsdale, Partey, Gabriel, Odegaard, and Xhaka need to stamp their authority on games on the ball by slowing the play down as Saliba and Zinchenko do. Out of possession, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, etc *NEED* to press unbelievably hard. Arsenal still needs to do something in their midfielder.
