After Newcastle Won 4-1, This Is How The New EPL Table Standing Changed

With few matches remaining prior to the end of PL season campaign, each side is fighting is struggling to keep it's fire burning to avoid regelation in the next season.

On Thursday 18th, Newcastle hosted their rivals Brighton for a thrilling game which saw them winning to 4-1 at St James' Park. The hosts first goal breakthrough came in the 22nd minute after Brighton, Undav D. scored an own goal. Newcastle continued pressing hard against the opponent and eventually added a second goal in the 45+4' minute courtesy of Burn D. to finish the first half as the trailblazer.

After the game resumed for the second half Undav D. rectified his previous mistake by scoring Brighton first goal in the 51st minute. However, Newcastle seemed to have needed the win more than their visitors did as they score a third in the 89th minute following a promising cross from Almiron M. which landed on the Wilson C. legs to send the ball frying past Brighton goal.

Just like maize in a winnowing tray, Newcastle continued causing trouble and confusion in the opponent camp, scoring a fourth goal in the 90+1' minute through Guimaraes B. superb kick.

Following the superb results from Newcastle, they now widen the gap between them and the fourth placed Man Utd to three points after attaining 69 points.
