QPR VS SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY.
Everything clicked for Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday as they thumped Play-Off chasing Cardiff 5-0 at Hillsborough and the Owls could grab something at Loftus Road this Saturday against a QPR side who have little to play for with six games remaining.
Darren Moore has made an instant impact at Wednesday and his side raised hope of an unlikely relegation escape with a 1-2 victory over in-form Barnsley prior to the international break.
The Owls went down narrowly to second placed Watford on Good Friday (1-0), but their momentum was regained in magnificent style last time out thanks largely to a three goal blitz in the opening 23 minutes.
Prediction:QPR to win.
PRESTON VS BRENTFORD.
Brentford need to be foot perfect from here on in to stand any chance of chasing second placed Watford down in the hunt for automatic promotion, but we’re opposing the Bees at Deepdale this weekend following their poor recent results.
Thomas Franke’s side could only manage a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield last Saturday which brought up their fourth consecutive stalemate.
Norwich’s subsequent 7-0 demolition of the Terriers this week perhaps indicated just how much the Bees have dropped off since their remarkable 21 game unbeaten sequence earlier in the campaign and they now sit nine points behind Watford with just seven matches left to play.
Prediction:Both teams to score.
