Neymar In Tears After Brazil Were Eliminated By Croatia In The 2022 World Cup

Record world cup champions Brazil saw their aspirations to clinch their 6th World cup crown come to a bitter end, following a 4-2 penalty shootout loss to 2018 runners up Croatia in their quarter final tie in Qatar tonight.

After a thrilling 90 minutes that ended in a barren draw the match went into extra time where Neymar opened the scoring in the 106th minute to give the Selecao a deserved lead, but Bruno Petkovic slotted home the equaliser in the 117th minute to force the match to be decided through penalties.

Croatia goalkeeper Dominic Livakovic was the hero again for his nation as he saved Rodrigo's spot kick before Marquinhos hit the crossbar to hand Luka Modric & co a 4-2 penalty shootout triumph. Croatia will take on the winner between Argentina & Netherlands in a crunch semi final clash.

After the match PSG superstar Neymar was overwhelmed by emotions & was seen crying & was comforted by his compatriot Dani Alves.
