English premier league action is back. We look forward to seeing the best out of most players and squads as well.
Watford have been hit and miss so far but they’ve shown enough signs to suggest they can cause Liverpool problems. Now with Ranieri in charge they could be dangerous. Liverpool are undefeated so far. They have scored plenty of goals but they have shown a vulnerable side too. They’ve conceded five goals in their last two league games and although they’ve scored the same amount, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Watford score and keep this close. It’s not long after the international games either which could give Watford an advantage.
Brentford have started their premier league campaign in good stead with a solid home record with a notable 2-0 win against Arsenal and a draw versus Liverpool. With the recent Internationals and a depleted Chelsea squad hit with injuries, a predicted resilient Brentford may provide for a low scoring game.
3. Man City v Burnley
I’m going for a big upset here. Burnley have yet to win but have improved having drawn their last two games. City haven’t had much problem scoring goals but I don’t think they’ll be at their best after the internationals and they might just underestimate Burnley. It’s a big ask having lost their last five visits in al comps by a 5-0 scoreline but they beat Arsenal and Liverpool away last season so they are capable of causing an upset.
4. Norwich v Brighton
Norwich has lost all of their games at Carrow Road this season. Brighton has seen under 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 games in all competitions now. Norwich has not scored in their last 3 games and running. 5 of the last 6 meetings between the two sides have ended in under 2.5 goals being scored, and a Brighton won or draw.
5. Leicester city vs Manchester United
Leicester have been poor so far by their standards and with Man Utd’s strong away record, I expect a Man Utd win. The visitors certainly haven’t been firing on all cylinders but with ronaldo upfront they always have a goal in them. They will be without their first choice central pairing at the back but I don’t see united playing it too open with that in mind. Leicester are far from rock solid at the back they will have their hands full here.
6. Aston Villa v Wolverhampton
Villa have been playing very well but wolves are not easy to beat. Wolves problem is scoring goals but they have Hwang on loan and he’s playing well as is Jimenez. Villa are probably the better side with more options but I feel wolves will set up to come away from here with a point and will also pose a danger going forward at times. This could be close.
7. Southampton v Leeds United
I expect goals here. Leeds we’re struggling before their first win of the season. They have been a lot more vulnerable at the back this season. Southampton are yet to win but they’ve played better than that winless form suggests. They have drawn with both Manchester clubs and I expect to see them cause a few problems for Leeds. Leeds however will be well up for it now after their first win.
