FC COPENHAGEN VS TORPEDO BELAZ.
FC Copenhagen will fancy their chances of making a deep run in the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League and the Danes are taken to swat aside Belarussian outfit Torpedo Belaz in Thursday’s first leg at Parken Stadium.
The 13 time Danish champions will have been disappointed with their third place finish last term, although it means they drop into a European competition in which they can harbour serious aspirations of going far.
In contrast to their opponents, Copenhagen haven’t been involved in much competitive action of late with their domestic season only starting last weekend, but they should still be far too good for the Belarussians, even if not fully wound up.
Torpedo Belaz finished third in Belarus last season but are currently struggling in 10th after four defeats from seven. The trip to Parken Stadium is a daunting one for the minnows, with the Danes unbeaten in their last dozen starts here, winning seven.
We’re forecasting an easy victory this Thursday night for the hosts and coverage of a two goal handicap should be within their grasp. In the correct score market, 5-1 looks worth a punt at sizeable odds.
