Hello there!!! Thank you again and welcome back to my highlights. Today, we will majorly look at the potential and predicted line up for Liverpool in the coming 2022/2023 season which will kick off in less than one month from now.
The Red's have completed three signings so far. They have signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica, Fabio Carvalho from Fulham and Calvin Ramsey from Aberdeen.
On the other hand, Sadio Mane has left the club and joined Bayern Munich, Divock Origi has signed for AC Milan and Takumi Minamino has joined Monaco. Let's now see how they could possibly line up after these changes;
GOALKEEPER
The starting goalkeeper for Liverpool could possibly remain to be Brazilian star Alisson Becker after having a wonderful game last season where he won the golden glove award with 20 clean sheets. He could start in the goal post.
DEFENDERS
No new defender has been signed by Liverpool and this means coach Jurgen Klopp could possibly field a backline defence similar to the one he had last season. Trent Alexander-Arnold could start on the right back, Andy Robertson on the left back and at the center back, we could see Virgil van Dijk pairing up with Joel Matip.
MIDFIELDERS
This is another position that is not expected to have many changes. Our predicted midfield entails Fabinho as the defensive midfielder and Thiago Alcantara with Jordan Henderson as the central midfielders. Nabi Keita could also be another good option to take the place of either Henderson or Alcantara.
FORWARD
Following the departure of Sadio Mane and the signing of Darwin Nunez, Liverpool's attacking trio is expected to have a slight change. Luis Diaz could possibly play from the left wing, Mohamed Salah retaining his position on the right wing and Darwin Nunez replacing Mane as the center forward.
