Kariobangi Sharks who were favorites failed to impress after conceding two goals in the first half. The first goal was scored by Masita Masuta in the 29th minute before Clinton Omondi made it 2-0 after finding the back of the net.
The last minutes of the second half, 87th minute saw Kariobangi Sharks goal being ruled out for offside thus maintaining the score line at 2-0.
With this result, Ulinzi Stars move up to position eight in the KPL standings with 21 points after playing 17 matches with Kariobangi Sharks maintaining their 4th spot in the KPL table with 31 points after 17 matches.
Elsewhere, Kakamega Homeboyz are playing relegation threatened Western Stima as Posta Rangers face third placed AFC Leopards with both matches kicking off at 3 PM EAT.
