Victor Wanyama back for selection by Harambee Stars

Sports CS Ababu Namwamba's decision to allow former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama return from retirement didn't go down well with Kenyans some terming it as a move to kill young talents.

The CF Montreal midfielder had announced his retirement from international football back in September 2021.

However, his decision to come back from retirement came after the former Tottenham midfielder met with sports cabinet secretary Ababu Namwamba.

Sports CS Ababu Namwamba says: "In our mission to rebuild our football and elevate our national teams, our elite players must be at the heart of this renaissance."

Kenyans could not wait to express their frustrations and anger towards the move which they believe will demoralize young talents with dreams to be in the national team. They urged sports cabinet secretary to focus on talent search and not old aged players who are past there glory days.

"Weauh! CS is overworking! He's now the Harambee Stars coach! Makofi👏👏" One online user reacted.

Kenyan premier league has been on the low for some time now and Sports CS Ababu Namwamba is under pressure to bring things back to normalcy.
