Liverpool FC faced off with Manchester City during the Community Shield on Saturday night with Liverpool FC emerging winners. Both teams start the match on a high notch before Liverpool got an early opener in the 22nd minute through their right-back defender Alexander Arnold after receiving a superb assist from Mo Salah.
Manchester City was able to equalise in the 70th minute through their newly signed player Julian Alvarez. However, this didn't put them in a position to win the match as minutes later in the 83rd minute Mo Salah gave Liverpool FC another chance to lead from a spot kick. This was after Manchester City defender Reuben Dias catch the ball in the box when he was in the action of preventing the shot from entering.
However, the only player that attracted attention from Liverpool fans was Mo Salah who scored and provided assistance in that game. Some fans praise him saying that he is always their king while others say that he is going to have a wonderful season that starts on 5th August 2022.
