Arsenal's Bridge To Top Six Set Aside

It is clear that Arsenal's way to top six of English Premier League table has been set aside after the Gunners receiving uncelebrated beat from Liverpool on Saturday Clash.

Arsenal was determined to secure three points from Liverpool so as to cover the gap of six points from top six. Mikel Arteta had mobilized his squad well, as a result Arsenal tried it's best in the first half. Unfortunately, they did not secure a single goal. Arsenal defense led by Gabriel was so tight that they did not allow Liverpool to secure a goal thus the first half ended in a draw of 0-0

It was during the second half that Arsenal's ship started subsiding, liverpool was determined to have three points and as a result of poor defending mechanism from Magalhaes, Jota took the visitor to a lead of 1-0. The goal from Diego Jota turned the event in favour of Liverpool, Lacazette's fight to get an equalizer was fruitless. Mohamed Salah's second goal for liverpool was the biggest blow to the Gunners, it was clear that three points had been snatched away since the Gunners had no hope of comeback.Diego Jota netted another wonderful goal thus taking the match to 3-0 in favour of Liverpool. All that remained for Gunners was to defend the reputation of the club by not conceding more goals. The game ended 3-0 on benefit of Liverpool.

Arsenal loss to Liverpool is a major hinderance to top six. The Gunners has remained in position 9 with 42 points while Liverpool has moved to position 5 with 49 points. Arsenal has now to concentrate on winning UEFA Europa League clash on this Thursday against Slavia Prague if they need to make a further step in that competition.

However, Arsenal did the best. Arsenal's key players such as Bukayo Saka,Granit Xhaka, Smith Rowe and David Luiz had injuries, hence they could not win without those players. In addition, international break exhausted most of Arsenal's players. We hope the best in the next clash.
