Spartak Moscow 3-4 Leicester: <a class=Patson Daka scores four in thrilling Foxes fightback | Football News | Sky Sports"/>

Leicester City resurrected their Europa League campaign with a 4-3 victory over Spartak Moscow in Moscow on Wednesday, thanks to four goals from Patson Daka. Daka, a close-season signing from Salzburg, became only the fifth player to score four goals in a Europa League game since the competition was renamed the UEFA Cup, and the first since Real Sociedad's Willian Jose did so in 2017.

The Zambian striker is not the only African player to have scored three goals in a single European Championship. With Nkunku and Haller scoring three goals each against City and Sporting, we take a look at the Africans who have a treble in the competition.

Players Who Have Scored Hat-trick In A Uefa Club Competition

1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Gabon

During his time at Borussia Dortmund, the Gabonese superstar became the first African player to score a treble in the competition's knockout stage. On March 8, 2017, in the Round of 16 second leg against Benfica, Aubameyang scored three goals before setting up Christian Pulisic in a 4-0 thrashing at Westfalenstadion to advance 4-1 on aggregate.

2. Saido Mane - Senegal

The Senegal international scored a hat-trick as Liverpool won their first Champions League knockout game in nine years, 5-0, at Porto's Estadio do Dragao in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino also scored in the match on February 14, 2018.

3. Sebastien Haller

Haller not only scored four goals in Ajax's 5-1 thrashing of Sporting CP, but he also tied Marco van Basten's 29-year-old Champions League record as the second player in the competition's history to do so.

4. Samuel Eto’o - Cameroon

On the way to winning the European Cup for the second time in their history, Barcelona defeated Panathinaikos 5-0 at Camp Nou in a Group C match on November 2, 2005.

Mark Van Bommel gave Barcelona the lead in the first minute, and Eto'o doubled the Blaugrana's lead in the 14th. Then, in the 34th and 65th minutes, Lionel Messi gave the Spaniards an unassailable lead, with the Cameroonian star completing the rout in the 40th and 65th minutes, respectively.

On September 29, 2010, he scored his second hat-trick during his time at Inter Milan, as the Serie A club defeated Werder Bremen 4-0.

5. Didier Drogba - Cote d’Ivoire

The Cote d'Ivoire football legend scored three goals in the second half to help Olympique Marseille defeat Serbian side FK Partizan 3-0 inside Stade Velodrome.

Nonetheless, the Ligue 1 club failed to advance past the group stage, which included FC Porto and Real Madrid.

On September 27, 2006, he scored his second hat-trick in Chelsea's 3-1 victory over Levski Sofia in London.
