Man United had invited Brentford yesterday at old Trafford in a friendly match as they all prepare for the new campaign that will kick off next month. Ole Gunnar gave many young players opportunity to prove themselves.
Elanga opened the scoring in the early minutes of the game after a great pass from Wan Bissaka. Brentford brought things on level terms in the 20th minutes. Pereira who spent the whole of last season on loan scored a fantastic goal in the 50th minute.
Brentford pulled one back before the final whistle to make the final score to be 2-2. In that match, one of the player that really impressed is Lingard. He gave Brentford defenders and goalkeeper no rest in that match. He had the most shots on goal despit playing out wide.
Lingard spent most of last season warming the bench before he move out on loan to Westham. The Englishman went on to shine at Westham and help them qualify for Europa next season.
Yesterday he continued with his top performance by creating multiple chances up front. This now means that Lingard top performance against Brentford Proved Ole Gunnar wrong for leaving him out on the bench last season.
