Manchester United have been lacking in their offensive department and yesterday’s disasterclass perfomance against Brentford emphasized the need to sign new players. Ten Hag is yet to reap from the potential of his young attackers at Manchester United while the pressure from the fans is growing with every minute to produce results. Consequently, the fans have called on Ten Hag to initiate talks with available strikers in the market and that includes Emmanuel Dennis who is on the verge of joining Nottingham Forest.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the newly promoted side are moving fast in the potential transfer move since they want to register the striker as early as possible. Watford FC are open to selling the striker, provided they are tabled the right offer. Notts manager, recently sad that if his side want to stay in the league through to next season, then a few things must be changed both on and off the pitch.
“Our start to the new league was not pleasant at all. The pressure to perform and the quality of clubs we will be meeting ahead is massive. The player’s have been tense about the whole change of atmosphere but that is what it is. If we want to stay in this league we will have to reshuffle a few things within and outside the squad.”
Manchester United were recently rumored to be eyeing the prolific Nigerian striker but no real offer was ever tabled for him. Credible sources had reported that his name was severally mentioned behind closed doors in board meetings and that could mean that a surprise swoop could be made on him. Dennis wants to return to the Premier League and Manchester United could be the club that gives him the chance to prove himself once more.
Fans are however impatient about the imminent transfer and have asked Ten Hag to expedite the process. They have also pointed out that if Dennis fails to join the club, then it will be presumed that Ten Hag cares less about saving his sinking ship. The start to the new season was a bitter pill to swallow and fans are praying that a repeat of last week’s opener is not seen again.
