Chelsea fans spent most of their time talking about Borrusia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland joining Stamford Bridge last term. However, they got Romelu Lukaku instead of the Norwegian in their desperation to get a complete striker. This time round the deal could actualize due to Lukaku's failure to hit the nail on the head with his performances.
Asked about Haaland links in Chelsea's pre-champions league presser, Thomas Tuchel said he wouldn't mind if Haaland played alongside Lukaku upfront. He also admitted Chelsea has been in constant talks with the Norway international.
Chelsea tried to sign Haaland last summer but the deal did not go over the line as expected due to high valuation for the star. Dortmund valued Haaland at £150m but Chelsea were willing to pay up to £100m. Marina Granovskaia opted to go for Lukaku who costed £97m.
It is likely Marina would reignite the Haaland deal this summer as Haaland would cost them £75m. The North London club would get competition from bigwigs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid this summer for the signature.
