The Kenya's Serena Williams based in Australia

One of the most precious activities in the world is sports. It not only helps an individual maintain a good body shape but also if natured as a talent it becomes a source of living. .

At just 17 years, Britney Korir is topping the headlines and she has become an award-winning player. She bagged over 12 over the last 3 years, and she has been ranked among the best female players in the country.

Britney’s love begun when she was four, and her parents Benard and Emily Korir hired a coach to train her. Drawing the inspiration from Serena Williams, elevated the talent in her.

"At that moment, I just told my parents that I wanted to be like Serena Williams. Since that time, the kind of support I have received from my parents is amazing," says Britney.  

She plays for her school in Australia, and she represented them during the 2021 Tennis SA Regional Bronze Tournament She won the ultimate trophy after beating Emily jolly and Poppy Moyle-Read 4-2,4-2 of Summer Hupfield respectively.

Even though Britney was born in the US and raised in Australia, she is eligible to play for Kenya because of the dual citizenship of her parents
