Mike Sonko has offered to take Conjestina Achieng' for prayers

Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has again offered to assist the former Kenyan boxing sensation Conjestina Achieng'. On his Facebook post, Sonko indicated that he was saddened when he received a whatsapp text from Conjestina's son requesting him to give any kind of support to his ailing mother.

"Good Morning fellow Kenyans, I'm truly saddened by this whatsap message from Conjestina's son. Our leaders are busy campaigning while one of our shujaas who once made this country proud is currently languishing in poverty and needs help due to her ill health", Mike sonko wrote on his Facebook official Page.

The story of the former award-wining boxer went viral a few days ago after a saddening and heartbreaking photo of her resurfaced online and it touched many Kenyans who went on to critize the government for deliberately abandoning.

It is said that Conjestina is living in extreme poverty, despite being one of the best female boxers Kenya has ever had. She has been spotted on the streets begging for food and money.

After receiving the text from Conjestina's son, Sonko has singlehandedly decided to assist Achieng' as he has dispatched a car with his team to Siaya to facilitate her movement. He will take her to prophetess Mary Kagendo for special prayers.

This decision to take her for prayers came after her son the family believed Conjestina needed prayers and they proposed taking her to Pastor Ezekiel in Mombasa.

This is not the first time for Sonko to help her, as the last time she was sick, he took her to several mental hospitals and rehabilitation centres including Nairobi County rehabilitation centre in Parklands, Diani Beach among others where she got full recovery and discharged. She became sick again after she went to her rural home.

Be blessed Mr Sonko
