Manchester United dominated the ball possession amd counter attacks but Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes wasted all goal scoring opportunities including a stoppage time penalty against Aston Villa. The visitors goal was scored in the 88th minute through Hauze who was assisted by Luiz to seal all the 3 points for the visitors. After the 1-0 defeat, Manchester United dropped to position 4 in the Premier League with 13 points while Aston Villa climbed up to position 7 with 10 points after their 1-0 victory.
Chelsea were demolished and destroyed by Premier League defending Champions Manchester City 1-0 at home to drop end their 5 matches unbeaten run in the division. Manchester City only goal was scored by Gabriel Jesus in the 54th minute after being assisted by Joao Cancelo to seal their 5th Clean sheet of the season. After the 1-0 defeat Chelsea dropped to position 3 with 13 points while Manchester City moved up to position 2 in the Premier League table with 13 points.
