Chelsea Frustrate Man United Top-four Finish Plan with a Sensational Comeback Against Aston Villa

Chelsea produced an interesting display upon their return to action in the Premier League against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.

The Blues made a sensational comeback to beat the Villans 2-1 in a match that was well dominated by Frank Lampard's men.

Chelsea dominated the first half but ended up trailing 1-0 after Villa's Kortney Hause took advantage of the simple mix-up at the Blues' defense and sent home the first goal of the match in the 43rd-minute.

Frank Lampard came to the second half with a revitalized spirit after bringing in Christian Pulisic, who later equalized for the Blues in the 60th-minute before Oliver Giroud scored the winning goal two minutes later.

Chelsea now stand a prime chance of finishing in the top-four position as they have widened the margin with the fifth-placed side Manchester United to five points.

Chelsea will welcome Manchester City on Thursday for their second game after league return.
