The much awaited Premier League match for Monday Night saw Everton Winning 2-1 against Arsenal in a very tight affair. Arsenal were the favorites to bag all the three points away at Goodison Park but the odds turned against them. Arsenal dominated the first half of the game 63% goal possession with one shot on target.
Everton Forward Richarlison managed to get the first goal for his side in the 44th minute but the VAR ruled the goal for offside. This made Everton players to be very unhappy and they lacked morale for the game to the point Arsenal scored a goal in the 45 + 2 minute courtesy of Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal FC leading at half time break made Everton to be more determined after the break and Richarlison scored again for Everton in the 58th minute but the goal was disallowed again for offside.
Everton side never gave up on their two disallowed goals but they continued to press on towards their main aim for the game. In the 79th minute, Richarlison got a rebound inside the six - yard box and produced a header which saw him managing to put the ball inside the left post to make it 1-1 score in the match.
The referee Michael Dean added 6 minutes of stoppage time after the usual 90 minutes of play and this made Everton to score their winning goal that saw them adding three points to their tally. Everton star Demerai Gray got a chance to test the goalkeeper from the edge of the box in the 90+2 minute in which he fired a brilliant shot which which bounced in off the post to make it 2-1 for Everton at full time.
Arsenal's defeat to Everton has paved way for Manchester United to be ahead of them in the latest Premier League Standings. Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham are in the top four each having 35,34,33 and 27 points respectively. Tottenham have a one game in hand and are currently ranked 5th in the EPL table with 25 points slightly above Manchester United who are in the 6th place with 24points.
Everton have been loosing in their previous matches but this win has made them to move from 16th to 12th place in the latest Premier League Standings. Burnley, Newcastle, and Norwich City are lagging behind as the bottom three each with 10 points respectively and they are fearing relegation.
