Arturo Vidal's father, Erasmo Vidal was found dead at Chile's oldest racecourse. The 61 year old is believe to have gone into a cardiac arrest after suffering hypovolemic shock at the club hipico de santiago.
The former Barcelona and Intermilan player has not yet spoken about the death of his father, But his current club Flamengo announced through their social media accounts on Tuesday confirming that one of their players Vidal, had lost his father.
“We regret to Inform you about the death of Erasmo Vidal father of our player Arturo Vidal. May he rest in peace,” read the statement released by Flamengo.
His father died in an area where the races take place. The 35 year old joined Flamengo in July on a free transfer after his contract with Intermilan expired.
Arturo has won titles in different leagues. His career took off after he joined Juventus in 2011, he has also played for Bayern Munich.
